| "Cebrate"" -- Aboriginal dot painting by Rogest |
Dive and Paint. The plan is simple, to have fun, dive and paint. If you have painted before, great! You'll learn new skills and a different style. If you have not painted before, Ron will guarantee you will create a personally inspired painting in the Rogest dot style to keep for yourself and join him in the collaberative effort. You will work with acrylic paints, sand and salt water, visit a local art gallery and enjoy a little wine -- or not. We promise you it will be an experience you will not forget.
Just for your Soul. You will have a wine and cheese cocktail hour and time permitting we will also do a little free paining and collaboration with the Group.

Ron Steven, better known as Rogest. . . "The brilliant colors and bio-diversity of the underwater environment has undoubtedly influenced my paintings. The vivid underwater images I have experienced have burned a vibrant seascape into my imagination. This is the source of my inspiration." Ron uses the Australian Aboriginal dot art style in his painting. The palette from which he works and creates has been wonderfully influenced by this style. It allows free expression of the imagination. He uses seawater (salt) and sand from the local dive sites for texture, making each painting truly a part of the dive. Rogest's work has been featured on the front covers of many magazines around the world, with articles and portfolios of his work featured prominently. An ardent supporter of the environment, Ron has worked closely with DAN both in the USA and Austalia. He has donated his work to O.W.U. Scholarship Society, Conservation International, Ocean Pals, Oceans for Youth Foundation, REEF, Catalina Conservancy Divers, W.W.F., the Marine Mammal Care Centre in California and Cayman National Trust and the Cayman Islands Department of the Enviornment.

Mark & Nina:
Well, its been a little over two weeks since Nina and I departed from Heaven (Cobalt Coast Resort, Grand Cayman). The experience of diving, art classes, wine, cheese, and gourmet dinners will be forever retained in our memory. Ron is an outstanding individual, it was a pleasure to have met him as well. Ron provided us with unequal entertainment. Ron did a bully, bang-up, corking, cracking, dandy, groovy, peachy, swell, smashing job entertaining and keeping us busy. Nina and I intend on returning to Cobalt yearly for fun and diving for as long as life will permit us to.
Larissa:
I had a GREAT time on the Rogest visit at Cobalt Coast Resort. Nancy, Jay, Dora, Arie should be very proud of the Resort!! I know you went to a lot of work in preparing the area to paint. It was most comfortable. Your whole staff provided excellent service and ammenities.
Jay, I've watched the DVD twice now. Great job! This is a perfect memeto to remember the trip with.
